What is South East Market's Produce Bundle?

it’s a collection of Produce, Vegetables + Fruits, hand-selected by our stellar staff.  We offer produce subscriptions (bundles) for our customers where they can decide to spend between $10 or $30 each week for fresh produce. We source first from Black, Brown, Indigenous, Local and female-led farms and businesses then we round out the bundle with conventional produce that you can use. We support Three Black Farmers in the West Michigan area, and over 15+ Local farms throughout the region. We ensure Sustainable practices out of care for our Mother Earth and the effects on our bodies. Every single week, you'll have first dibs on the latest goodness straight from our local farmers, some literature on it's benefits to your health + how to's to help you prepare it, and we'll let you know what local farms you are supporting that week! We provide ease in integrating local and fresh foods into your busy life.

What is the Soul-to-Soul Produce Bundle?

All of our subscribers have the opportunity to purchase a subscription for someone else in our community. This is called “Soul to Soul”. Currently, the recipients of our Soul to Soul program are residents at a nearby Grand Rapids Housing Commission apartment complex, Adams Park Apartments, for older adults and adults with disabilities that are financially challenged, Hope Community Re-housing Program, housing provision for women and their minor dependent children, and Antoine Court, Affordable Housing for Veterans, Seniors & People with Disabilities. We also connect food through Soul to Soul to the scholarship recipients of De La Flor Midwifery. This is Generous Economy in motion.

How do I sign up + subscribe?

It is so Easy! When you click the button above, you will have the choice to subscribe to a box every week or every other week . You can easily “pause” your subscription when you don’t need a box, by selecting the dates you will not want one. You are billed every month for a bi-weekly bundle, every 2 weeks for a weekly bundle to make the cost more approachable. If you opt in, Each week you receive a text with the contents of your box, what farmers you are supporting, a recipe!  If you need any assistance or alternative payment methods, please contact us at tribe@southeastmarketgr.com or call us at 616-724-4404.

How do I pick up?

Pickups happen on your chosen day - either Monday + Thursday 11AM-7PM, or Tuesday + Friday 11AM-7PM for our EBT customers. Both stores are open for additional shopping when you pick up. Expect to unload a labeled black bin of your chosen bundle size. We ask that you bring your own reusable containers and bags. If you forget, we've got you covered, no sweat!

Is Delivery available?

Yes! We offer delivery for $5. If you live within the 49507 zip code, your delivery is FREE thanks to our community-powered Pay It Forward Program. We love seeing generous economy in action.

What if I need to skip a week?

You can manage your account on our Shopify store. Follow the link above to the site, click login on the top right corner of the page. Under “my account” you will be able to manage your subscription. If you click the manage upcoming orders button you will be able to pause your produce box or skip a specific week you will be unable to pick up. You won’t get billed that week and we won’t pack the box. Note- we bill on Monday for your subscription, so if you realize you won’t be able to pick up your box after Monday email khara@southeastmarketgr.com and we can work something out.

Can I add-on Items like Local Eggs or Coffee with my Subscription?

Yes! Just follow the above link and look at our current offerings - Local Eggs, Coffee of the week, Beverage bundle, Meat/Poultry of the week. You may increase the Quantity of your items based on what you'd like to spend! Add-ons are a fun way to sample the various offerings in our store!
